Beta Status
Phosor is currently in an Internal Beta stage. Features may change before the public release. Performance may occasionally be inconsistent depending on hardware, image formats, and library size. Unexpected bugs may still occur. Feedback from beta testers is highly appreciated.
Phosor is designed to be fully operable from the keyboard. This page covers hidden productivity features and tips for getting the most out of the keyboard-driven workflow.
Hidden Productivity Features
1. Shift Burst (Temporary Burst Mode)
Hold Shift + any category key to temporarily enter burst mode without toggling Continue Mode. Release Shift to stop.
This is useful for quickly sorting a sequence of similar photos without changing the global mode.

2. Scrubbable Burst Interval
The burst interval input field in the footer is scrubbable — click and drag horizontally to adjust the value. This is faster than typing or using arrow keys.
3. Duplicate Sort Detection
If you press a category key for a photo that's already assigned to that category, Phosor simply advances to the next photo without re-assigning. This prevents duplicate history entries and speeds up navigation.

This behavior is intentional. It means you can safely press a category key multiple times without cluttering your undo history.
4. Prefetch Adjacent Photos
Phosor automatically preloads the next and previous photos in the background after displaying the current one. This means backward navigation is just as fast as forward navigation.

You don't need to worry about which direction you navigate — both forward and backward are equally fast thanks to background prefetching.
5. Color-Coded Flag Indicator
The small colored square in the footer (next to the filename) reflects the current photo's assigned category color. A gray indicator means the photo is unflagged.
6. Sort Progress Counter
The footer sidebar shows a live counter tracking how many photos have been sorted out of the total. For example: 15 / 200 (7%).
7. Context Menu Disabled
Right-click context menus and macOS force-click/look-up features are disabled to prevent interference with the sorting workflow.
Intentional design
This is by design. The context menu is disabled across the application to ensure keyboard-driven sorting is never interrupted.
